How To Stay Psychologically Strong When Life Throws You Curve Balls

Life sometimes is a pure definition of ‘HARD’ and ‘UNPLEASANT’. However, life is something given to us by divine beings, by the power of the source of the universe itself, by our destiny… We need to be wise and learn how to live our lives without being entrapped into our own negativity and the negativity of the wide world.

People often lose themselves in frustrations. The modern human is well informed and has the inexclusive right to make own choices, but the frustrations are now even bigger because we have to witness how sick the world is, gather as much information as possible, and still be unable to change anything. The lessons in life are hard, but we have to accept them. In order to combat these situations, just remember this easy ABC formula whenever you’re in a tough spot:

A – Accept reality
Accepting the problem is the first step towards finding the solution. You don’t have to agree with what is going on but at the same time you cannot deny it’s existence. For instance, just because you are not sexist doesn’t mean that sexism is not widely prevalent. Accepting it will let you identify what you can and cannot change.

B – Behave productively
When you arrive at acceptance, you will gain better control over your mind and body. It will be easier for you to make good choices that will help you resolve your issues without too much difficulty. Ensure that you don’t indulge in whining and self-pity because that will just make it harder to stay strong.

C – Control upsetting thoughts
Don’t let yourself wallow in your own darkness. Staying focused on the negative issues will only prevent you from moving forward. Decide on a few words that give you courage and keep repeating them in your mind when you are in a tough situation and this will keep you rooted in positive thoughts.

As you can see, it’s actually simple. Our being and self-consciousness are our thoughts and how we see the world. Our behavior and thoughts define who we really are. So, if we want to change the world, first we need to change ourselves.
